The Epicenter is a location found on World's Edge.
Gameplay
The Epicenter is a mid tier loot zone located in the center of the northeast quadrant of World's Edge. It is centered around a massive, flash-frozen excavation drill, which sits at the bottom of a bowl-shaped valley. There are several Supply Bins in various spots around the slopes, as well as a couple small buildings. The top floor of the drill is accessible by zipline from the northeastern slope. As of 
Season 10, a fissure of lava snakes around the south and east sides of the zone, with three bridges crossing it. The zone has a Respawn Beacon and a Jump Tower on the northwestern slope. Its nearest zones are Survey Camp to the northwest, Climatizer to the northeast, and Monument to the south.
Lore
This extraction drill was built to extract branthium from under the volcanic surface of Talos, much like the one in Thermal Station. It was equipped with a coolant system, both to keep the surface comfortable for residents and to cool the lava enough to mine safely - but in 2703, the tower exploded, coating the settlement in a lethal flash freeze.[1]
