Viper was a Pilot for the Apex Predators, and the father of Valkyrie. He utilized a heavily modified Northstar-class Titan that provided him vastly increased flight time and better missile tracking.
Lore
Background
Viper resided on a farm on the Frontier planet of Angelia with his wife and daughter, Kairi, storing his Northstar in a barn. In 2715, Kairi took the Northstar for a joyride, flying it into a combat zone where it was quickly shot down. Viper arrived to rescue his daughter, safely ejecting her and landing the Titan in a field. Soon after, Viper left for Typhon. [1]
Battle of Typhon
During the Battle of Typhon, Viper deployed alongside Apex Predators Kane, Ash, Richter, Slone, and Blisk. He was charged with protecting a power source known as the Ark, as well as its transport ship, the IMS Draconis. During an engagement with the Frontier Militia, he used his Northstar's Flight Core to take down many of the Militia's fighters. He later engaged Militia Pilot Jack Cooper and his Titan, BT-7274, on the hull of the IMS Malta as the pair attempted to board the Draconis. After losing the Northstar's hatch, Viper was killed by Cooper. [2]
Northstar
Years after his death, Kairi recovered his body and Titan while on a salvage operation from Kuben Blisk. [1] After returning home, Viper's body was cremated, with his wife leaving some of his ashes on the family's farm on Angelia and scattering the rest on the wind after moving to the Outlands. [3] His Titan was repurposed by Rampart into Valkyrie's flight suit. [1]

Trivia
- According to the official Prima guide for Titanfall 2, Viper was 45 years old during the Frontier War and had previously served as a classified test pilot for the IMC's Pegasus project.[4] However, writer Manny Hagopian has stated that the publication's contents are likely not canon.[5]
