April Fools' Day was a minor event during 
Season 20 of Apex Legends. For the duration of April 1, special modes took over Battle Royale and the Mixtape. From April 2 to April 8, April Fools' Battle Royale was made available as a separate game mode.
Gameplay changes
- Battle Royale
- The Mozambrrr, Mozamburst, Mozambeam and Mozamblam can be found as ground loot.
- Ol' Nessie can be found in Care Packages.
- Gunfire creates propulsion in the opposite direction, allowing players to generate momentum mid-air by firing their weapons.
- Gravity reduces over time as the match progresses.
- Mixtape
- All weapon loadouts are replaced with April Fools' Mozambique variants.
