A Season is a predetermined period of time in Apex Legends where a new set of content is released. Seasons typically last for three months.
Each Season comes with major balance changes, a new Battle Pass, typically a new Legend and sometimes a new weapon. Starting with Season 2, Seasons coincide with Ranked, rotate fully kitted weapons and Hop-Ups, and add a new map or map update. Starting with Season 5, Seasons usually have Quests.

Trivia
- There are various pieces of evidence that seem to suggest Season 1 and Season 2 were originally meant to be the same Season:
- The L-STAR EMG and the Season 2 map changes can be seen in promotional material for Season 1.
- The official PlayStation website reported that "[t]wo new characters will launch over the course of the Season" for Season 1.
- The Season 1 logo can be seen on Wattson's Dinomite skin.
- The Season 8 gameplay trailer was narrated by Jon Bailey, known for Honest Trailers.
- As of Season 16, not every season will introduce a new Legend.
- Season 1, Season 2, and Season 5 are the only Seasons whose titles consist of two words rather than one.
