Shellshock
Shellshock is caused by several heavy explosives in the game. Being shellshocked reduces movement speed and aim sensitivity, and partially blurs the screen.
- Gibraltar's Defensive Bombardment causes shellshock for [?] seconds.
- Bangalore's Rolling Thunder causes shellshock for [?] seconds.
- Valkyrie's Missile Swarm causes shellshock for [?] seconds.
- [Is the stun from Mad Maggie's Wrecking Ball shellshock? Gotta check]
Electric Shock
Electric shock is similar to shellshock, causing slower movement speed, lower aim sensitivity, and partial screen blurring. It has the added effect of shutting down Tridents for 5 seconds, and most electric shocks deal extra damage to shields.
- The Arc Star causes electric shock for up to 5 seconds, relative to the target's distance from the explosion. Direct hits deal quadruple damage vs shields.
- Wattson's Perimeter Security causes electric shock for 3 seconds.
- Crypto's Drone EMP causes electric shock for 2 seconds, and deals 50 damage to shields.
- Ash's Arc Snare causes electric shock on a direct hit. [I'm pretty sure it's electric? Need to confirm]
Being on fire
[What's a more elegant word for this? Ablaze?] Some ordnance sets enemy players on fire, causing lingering tick damage for some time.
- The Thermite Grenade lights enemies ablaze and deals [?] damage per second for [?] seconds.
- Fuse's The Motherlode lights enemies ablaze and deals 8 damage per second for 5 seconds.
- Mad Maggie's Riot Drill lights enemies ablaze and deals [?] damage per second for [?] seconds. [Does this one even do afterburn?]
Highlighted
[Might change term to 'detected' or 'scanned' or something, but this is the best descriptor] This status effect causes your silhouette to be visible to all players on the enemy squad that caused the effect. This silhouette is visible through walls, smoke, and any other obstruction. Enemies are alerted when they have been highlighted. This effect can also apply to constructed objects and some map features.
- Bloodhound's Eye of the Allfather highlights targets for 3 seconds. It effects all targets in a 125° cone in front of Bloodhound, even through walls.
- Crypto's Neurolink highlights targets as long as they are visible to his Surveillance Drone, and within 30 meters of it.
- Horizon's Black Hole highlights targets who are on the opposite side of N.E.W.T. from her squadmates. [This is the same kind of highlight, right?]
- Fuse's The Motherlode highlights enemies on the inside of the mortar flare.
- Seer's Focus of Attention highlights enemies hit by the blast for 8 seconds.
- Mad Maggie's Warlord's Ire highlights enemies for 1 second every time she deals damage to them.
Marked / Revealed
[One of these is a good word for this] Some abilities will mark the location of enemies without highlighting their silhouettes. In these instances, enemies are not informed that they have been detected.
- Valkyrie's VTOL Jets marks enemies in Valkyrie's line of sight within 250 meters while she is skydiving.
- Seer's Exhibit marks enemies within the 65m sphere if they are not crouching or standing still.
- Using the terminal in Crypto's Map Room marks all enemies on the minimap for [?] seconds. This mark exclusively applies to the minimap.
[I'm not adding Mirage decoys, Wattson fences, or Ash passive to this because those are pings, they don't move with the enemy]
Phasing
This effect causes players to briefly shift into the Void, a dimension where no damage can be dealt. Players in the void leave whispy trails in the primary plane of reality, showing their movement.
- Wraith's Into the Void phases her for 4 seconds.
- Wraith's Dimensional Rift phases anyone that passes through it and takes them from one end of the rift to the other.
- Ash's Phase Breach phases anyone that enters and takes them to the exit.
- Fade's Flashback phases him for 2 seconds. During this time, he moves backwards along the path he took in the past 20 seconds.
- Fade's Phase Chamber phases all players in the radius for 4 seconds.
- Taking a Phase Runner phases players and takes them from one end to the other. Unlike other phases, the runner does not protect from ring damage.
Invisibility
This effect causes players to become completely invisible, but not inaudible. Currently, only Mirage is able to cause this effect.
- Mirage's Now You See Me... cloaks him whenever he:
- Is downed. (For 5 seconds)
- Uses a Respawn Beacon.
- Revives a squadmate. (Turns the squadmate invisible as well)
- Mirage's Life of the Party cloaks him for 1 second upon activation.
Silenced
This effect makes tactical and ultimate abilities unable to be activated, and cancels some abilities in progress when applied.
- Revenant's Silence silences targets for 15 seconds.
- Seer's Focus of Attention silences targets for 1.25 seconds.
Other status effects
- Bloodhound's Beast of the Hunt turns their screen grayscale and highlights all enemies with threat vision for the duration of the ultimate.
- Octane's Launch Pad grants users the ability to double jump once after launching. This status effect is lost upon hitting the ground.
- Crypto's Drone EMP briefly disables targets' minimaps, blurring it out and displaying [SIGNAL JAMMED] over it for 2 seconds.
- Seer's Focus of Attention causes a target's health bar to be visible above their head for 8 seconds.
- Previously, several abilities granted legends the ability to use healing items faster, all of which have since been removed. This included Lifeline's Combat Medic and Gibraltar's Dome of Protection.
