- The skins for the Gaiden event are based on characters from popular anime franchises:
- Wattson's Lightning Spirit skin is based on Naruto Uzumaki from the Naruto series.
- Mirage's Marked Man skin is based on Izuku Midoriya / Deku from the My Hero Academia series.
- Revenant's Revelations skin is based on Evangelion Unit-00 and Evangelion Mark.09 from the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise. It specifically references the yellow coloration of its original appearance in the early episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion, as well as Mark.09's appearance in the Rebuild of Evangelion films with the scythe.
- The VK-47 Flatline's Revelations skin is marked as "Test Type," which is the designation given to Evangelion Unit-01.
- Octane's Sea Legs skin is based on Monkey D. Luffy from the One Piece series. Though originally given a straw coloration, it was edited to have a blue rim on release, likely to avoid copyright infringement.
- Seer's Heart Stopper skin is based on Mamoru Chiba / Tuxedo Mask from the Sailor Moon series.
