Fragment East is a location found on World's Edge. It is also used as a standalone map in Gun Run and Team Deathmatch.

Gameplay

Fragment East is a mid tier loot zone composed of several multi-story buildings, most of which are skyscrapers. In the center is a train station which formerly acted as a stop for the Train; the railway loops around the area, suspended above the ground, and connects with the rest of the network to the west. Also to the west is a chasm full of lava, dividing Fragment East from Monument (formerly Fragment West). To the north is Epicenter, and to the east is Overlook.

There is also a medium-sized settlement between Fragment East and Overlook, which contains a Respawn Beacon and the entrance to a cavern with a Vault in it. This settlement has no name.

Lore

Capitol City was the central hub of the World's Edge settlement on Talos, and the nearest city to the New Dawn coolant plant. The city was abandoned after the plant exploded and coated the surrounding area in a lethal flash-freeze, and was left untouched until World's Edge became a new arena for the Apex Games. The city fell into further disrepair after the Harvester caused a lava fissure to split the city in half. Although the western half was eventually renovated into the Apex Games Museum, the eastern half was left untouched.
