Typhon was a planet in the Frontier. It was the location of Titanfall 2's singleplayer campaign, and was the home planet of Wraith.

Description

Typhon was the second planet from the sun in Sector Echo-152 in the Frontier.

History

At some point long before humans arrived, an unknown alien civilization occupied Typhon and left behind the Ark, a power source capable of bending time and space. This artifact was discovered some time after the planet was colonized in the 2300s, and the IMC's ARES Division extensively researched the item and its surrounding infrastructure to create the Fold Weapon. As a small-scale test, the weapon was used on Typhon's moon Orthros, destroying it.

In 2715, Typhon was the site of Operation: Broadsword, an assault by the Frontier Militia meant to retake what they believed was a lightly defended IMC outpost. After facing an unexpected degree of resistance from IMC forces backed by Apex Predator mercenaries, one rifleman, Jack Cooper, managed to find the ARES complex where research on the Ark was performed, and uncovered plans to use the Fold Weapon on other planets in the Frontier. Thanks to him and his titan BT-7274, this info was relayed to the Militia, and after multiple assaults managed to sabotage the Fold Weapon. Doing this caused the weapon to backfire, destroying the entirety of Typhon.
