Iron Crown was a Collection Event during Season 2 of Apex Legends that began on August 13th, 2019 and concluded on August 27th, 2019.
The event featured the limited time Solos Mode. It also included the Iron Crown Collection and Iron Crown Event Shop that sold event-exclusive cosmetics.
Town Takeover
The event introduced the first Town Takeover in the form of Octane's Gauntlet. The new area replaced West Settlements and is themed around the legend Octane.
The area consists of a gauntlet with ramps containing Jump Pads placed in the track. A giant ring of fire is located in the middle of the area which contains high-tier loot.

Iron Crown Collection
The Iron Crown Collection was a set of 24 cosmetics exclusive to the event. During the start of the event until 20 August 2019, the only way to obtain these cosmetics were to open the event-exclusive Apex Packs called Iron Crown Packs (which cost 
700) but due to significant backlash, was also made available on the Store on a rotating basis. Iron Crown Packs only gave out Iron Crown Collection Cosmetics and 
Crowns, which were the event currency.
Completion of the Iron Crown Collection allowed the player to directly purchase Bloodhound's Heirloom Set for 3,500 before it was added to the normal Apex Packs loot table, and later the Mythic Store.

The Iron Crown Store was the event-exclusive store which sells items you can only purchase with the event currency called Crowns. These Crowns could be obtained by doing the Event Challenges and by opening Iron Crown Packs.
