Gravity Cannon

A Gravity Cannon on Storm Point.

Gravity Cannons are large structures found on multiple maps that launch players in a predetermined direction.

Function

• Many Gravity Cannons can be found on Storm Point, and one can be found on E-District at Electro Dam.
  • The majority of Gravity Cannons are pointed at other Gravity Cannons facing the opposite direction, so players can go back and forth.
• Players that stand in the Gravity Cannon activate it; after a short charge time of less than a second, all players in the cannon are launched.
• The distance traveled and time spent in the air depends on the Gravity Cannon's location and target destination.
• Players have a subtle amount of horizontal control while flying, but will almost always land at roughly the same location.
• Using the Gravity Cannon does not prevent players from using weapons, abilities, items, etc.
  • Certain legends' abilities can be used to escape the launch trajectory.

Variants

Gravity Launcher

Gravity Launchers (referred to as Launchers in-game and as Jump Cannons in concept art) are smaller variants of Gravity Cannons which launch players instantly, though across much shorter distances. Some fire players horizontally while others launch vertically. They are found on E-District in several locations.

Gravity Launchers that trigger skydiving can be found on Caustic Treatment and Barometer in Control.
