The Evo Shield was a gear item which could be equipped to gain shield health. By dealing damage to enemies, its tier is able to be upgraded to provide more shield health. It could be acquired in multiple rarities: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 5, the last of which could only be acquired through evolving.
The Evo Shield was introduced in Season 4, and removed in Season 20 with the introduction of Shield Cores and Legend Upgrades.
Function
Like the Body Shield, the Evo Shield contains an amount of shield health which is kept when the item is dropped or placed in an inventory. If a player died wearing an Evo Shield, it would be restored to full health in their Death Box. It also contains a sum of Evo Points, which can be used to level up the item to higher tiers.

Evo Points are rewarded when dealing damage to enemies, at a 1:1 ratio. Damage dealt to NPCs rewards points at a 4:1 ratio (25% of the damage dealt), and damage to downed enemies or structures yield nothing. The Evo Shield can also be placed in a Replicator to add 200 Evo Points for 50.
