The third season of Apex Legends, titled Meltdown, began on October 1st, 2019 and concluded on February 4th, 2020.

New Content

New map: World's Edge
New Legend: Crypto
New weapon: the Charge Rifle
New Hop-Ups:
- Double Tap Trigger for the EVA-8 Auto and the G7 Scout.
- Anvil Receiver for the VK-47 Flatline and the R-301 Carbine.
New cosmetic type: Charms
Several changes to Ranked Leagues:
- All Ranks reset 1.5 tiers down at the start of the season.
- Added assists to RP multiplier. Assists are given within 5 seconds of dealing damage to an enemy and that enemy is downed by someone else.
- Increased RP requirement for each tier by 10x.
- Increased RP entry cost for Silver tier and above by 12x.
- Now rewards kill/assist multipliers based on placement along with placement RP.
- Players will no longer receive an abandon penalty for leaving after 2.5 minutes since their Banner Card was picked up after dying.
New game mode: Firing Range
New Town Takeover: Mirage Voyage
