Hop Up Slot.svg

Hop-Ups are weapon attachments that positively impact a weapon's performance. Generally weapons only have one Hop-Up slot, meaning that if a weapon is compatible with multiple Hop-Ups only one can be equipped at a time, however there are some exceptions, mainly for Supply Drop Weapons.

  • The magazine rounds threshold for triggering the overload is different for each weapon:
    • 4 or less for the EVA-8;
    • 2 / 2 / 2 / 3 or less for the Triple Take;
    • 2 or less for the Sentinel.
  • The reload speed for all weapons is reduced to 1.4 seconds.
  • As long as Boosted Loader is still taking effect, either Gold Magazine or Stowed Reload.svg Stowed Reload perk can overload 2 rounds after auto reload.

Description Firing at the perfect moment increases fire rate.
  • Increase ramps up in three stages. Missing the timing resets all bonuses.
  • Bocek shots must be fully drawn to benefit from the effect.
  • Reduces Sentinel's rechamber time from 1.6s to 1.25s and Bocek's draw time from 0.54s to 0.38s.
    • This results in a ~22.2% increase in rate of fire for Sentinel and ~22.4% for Bocek at final stage.

    • ×1.25 for the Peacekeeper;
    • ×1.3 for the RE-45.

Gun Shield Generator

  • The shield has 40 health.
  • After taking damage or breaking, the shield will restore itself to full health after 10 seconds.
  • If used by Gibraltar Icon.svg Gibraltar, his Gun Shield.svg Gun Shield health is increased to 75, and the shield regen time remains the same (9 seconds).
  • Between the weapon and the shield there is a very small space, allowing for more accurate shots to pass through the shield and deal direct damage.

Quickdraw Holster

  • For the Charge Rifle, a full-auto fire mode is unlocked with fire-rate and charge-up speed increased but damage become 75%.

  • Legshot multiplier is increased to ×1 for 30-30 and fully drawn Bocek, but their headshot multipliers are reduced to ×1.25.

  • Nessies are called "Soldier Nessies".
  • Nessies have 50 health, deal 25 damage per hit, and respawn 12 seconds after being destroyed.
  • Nessies' health can be fully restored by petting them.
  • This is the only Hop-Up that works passively, which means holstering a weapon equipped with Red Materia will not despawn the Nessie.
  • Stacks with other weapons equipped with Red Materia, which means each Legend can have up to two Nessies active at the same time.

  • Turbocharger.svg Turbocharger is the most persistent Hop-Up, being available in 20 Seasons. Quickdraw Holster.svg Quickdraw Holster is the most fleeting, only being available in 3 Seasons.
  • Gun Shield Generator.svg Gun Shield Generator is the only Hop-Up which, when released, was compatible with more than two weapons.
    • Not counting Materia Hop-Ups, which were Event-specific items, Gun Shield Generator.svg Gun Shield Generator is also one of two Hop-Ups with the highest number of compatible weapons, the other being Boosted Loader.svg Boosted Loader.
  • Despite Hop-Ups usually being compatible with at least two ground loot weapons, there have been multiple instances of a Hop-Up being compatible with only one ground loot weapon:
  • Splatter Rounds.svg Graffiti Mod was accidentally leaked early in the first Hunt of "The Broken Ghost" Quest, where it spawned in one of the Supply Bins.
  • Splatter Rounds.svg Splatter Rounds used to increase magazine capacity by 15%, essentially mimicking Rampart's Modded Loader.svg Modded Loader Passive, but this bonus was later removed for balance reasons.
  • Sometimes, when a new Hop-Up is introduced, Legends may not have voicelines where they ping it by name (for example, "Hop-Up here, Turbocharger") until a later update.
