Optic
| Apex Legends content
This article concerns the subject and the content related to it in Apex Legends. For the subject in Apex Legends Mobile, see Optics (Mobile). |
Optics are a category of attachments which alter the sights of a weapon. Different optics offer different levels of magnification; some provide a static change, while others are variable and can toggle between different levels with the sprint button (⇧ Left Shift /

). Sniper scopes, usable only on sniper rifles, include distance meters and dynamic marks on the reticle to help compensate for bullet drop. Legendary-tier scopes are Digital Threat scopes, which highlight enemies with a red silhouette even when obscured by smoke or gas.
In Battle Royale, optics are available as ground loot. In Arenas, Control, and other game modes which grant free selection of weapons, optics can be freely swapped by holding

, provided the weapon's level is high enough to match the optic.
