The Body Shield is a gear item which can be equipped to gain shield health. It can be acquired in multiple rarities: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4; at its highest rarity, it also provides the [Improved Minor Heal] perk, which doubles the efficacy of small regen items.
The Body Shield is no longer available as a loot item in Battle Royale, but is still used in Mixtape game modes.
Function
The Body Shield contains an amount of shield health which is kept when the item is dropped or placed in an inventory. If a player died wearing an Body Shield, it would be restored to full health in their Death Box.

The Level 4 Body Shield has the same amount of shield health as the Level 3. In addition, it doubles the amount of shield health regained from a 
Shield Cell and the amount of health regained from a 
Syringe, both from 25 to 50.
In Control, all players start with a Level 2 Body Shield, and can acquire a Level 3 or Level 4 through Care Packages. Players will drop the higher level Body Shields on death.
