Trivia
- There is a myth that only
Heavy Rounds can slow enemies down unlike other ammo types. However, all ammo slows down Legends without the
Fortified passive perk by 40% for 0.25 seconds[1]. This can only happen once every 3 seconds.
- Non-energy weapons fire orange projectiles, regardless of their ammo used. Energy weapons fire blue projectiles or, in the case of the L-STAR EMG, red projectiles.
- The Peacekeeper is an energy weapon, but since it is a shotgun, it uses
Shotgun Shells instead of
Energy Ammo, most likely for balance reasons.
- The Peacekeeper is an energy weapon, but since it is a shotgun, it uses
- Prior to
Season 6, Mythic Ammo used to have a golden color like the one Supply Drop Weapons once had. Both the weapons and their ammo's rarity were upgraded from Legendary to Mythic to differentiate them from Fully Kitted Weapons.
- Before the introduction of
Sniper Ammo in
Season 4, the Kraber .50-Cal Sniper and Longbow DMR used
Heavy Rounds, while the Charge Rifle used
Energy Ammo.
Arrows are the first and currently only ammo type that has been removed from ground loot.
